You can also contact the group via Facebook …

Search on Facebook for “North Wind Tribal”, or click the button to the left, and ask to join our Fan Page!

You can make contact with us through that page.

There is also a private group for class members only.

NorthWind is a variety of Tribal Bellydance. Tribal style Bellydance originated in the USA in the 70’s and has spread around the world.

Tribal Bellydance focuses on the group performance, in contrast to Egyptian or Turkish Bellydance, where the emphasis is on a solo performer.

It is fun to do and good exercise. We regularly perform at our own dance parties and at other events.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Follow the NorthWind FaceBook page for the details of classes in 2024. Chris will restart them, after her holiday break, from Monday the 8th of January. New students always welcome.

Learning Tribal Bellydance in Yorkshire and Lancashire.

Chris Ogden, seen above, teaches Tribal Bellydance in three locations in Yorkshire and Lancashire. Each class is run in a friendly and supportive environment where everyone can learn the basics of this interesting dance form. You do not have to be super-fit, or even have danced before, it is a style that is non-impact and works with your body. Contact Chris through Facebook or eMail to discuss your own situation.

Keighley.

Chris runs two classes in the Arts Hub (the old Marks & Spencer building) in the centre of Keighley. The classes run on Monday evening and on Wednesday afternoon. There is easy access from the Bus station and the Church Green car park is free to use on an evening.

Burnley.

Chris runs a class in the Burnley Mechanics Theatre, Rehearsal Room. (Entrance at the rear of the building) This class meets on a Tuesday evening and the car park behind the Theatre is free at that time.

Sowerby Bridge.

Chris’s class in Calderdale is at the Yogamill, Warehouse No 2, Sowerby Bridge. The class meets on a Thursday evening in this historic location next to the canal.

All the classes are 90 minutes in length and Pay-As-You-Go. For more details - including cost, and start and finish times for each of the classes - go to the ‘North Wind Tribal’ Facebook page, or contact Chris by the email or phone number shown below.
